Aseptic & Sterile Technique
All IV insertions and vitamin preparation are performed using strict aseptic technique. We follow evidence-based infection control practices when starting IV lines, handling equipment and vitamins to ensure a clean & safe experience for every client.
Proper Handling & Storage
All vitamins, fluids, and injectable nutrients are sourced from licensed U.S. pharmacies and stored according to manufacturer and pharmacy guidelines. We carefully monitor temperature requirements, light exposure, and storage conditions to preserve potency and safety.
Physician-Directed Protocols
Our services operate under the supervision of an accredited medical director. We strictly follow physician-approved protocols that comply with North Carolina state regulations, including specific guidelines for IV formulations, nutrient combinations, and administration procedures.
Medication Integrity
We meticulously track lot numbers, expiration dates, and usage guidelines for every product we administer. No medication or vitamin is ever used beyond its recommended expiration date.
Compassionate, Patient-Centered Care beyond clinical standards, we believe exceptional care is rooted in compassion and education. Every client receives a thorough assessment, individualized treatment recommendations, and attentive monitoring throughout their appointment. We prioritize informed consent, comfort, open communication and education to the patient — because wellness should feel both safe and supported.
The Tele-Health visit is a virtual visit with one of our medical providers. This can be accomplished on your phone or computer. A medical provider may be a doctor, nurse practitioner or a physician assistant. The consult is about 3-5 minutes long. The provider's role is to clear you for the IV drip and vitamins you are seeking. Health history they may specifically ask about: if you are pregnant, if you have congestive heart failure, if you have any problems with your kidneys or liver and if you have any medication allergies or about medications that you take.
Yes. All the providers are real, medically accredited doctors, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners. They have been hired to serve as a medical clearance for the services we provide. Do not be alarmed if you notice them being in a more relaxed setting (sometimes even at home) as this is for our convenience of being able to reach them at all hours of the day. North Carolina is one of the few states that require a medical clearance before receiving IV Fluids; many states often do not require this step.
At High Country Hydration, we do not accept insurance, but we can accept HSA/FSA cards for payment.
We have some pregnancy safe offerings. This would be discussed with our medical provider on the tele-health visit. Many of our B- vitamin drips and add-ons are administered to specifically relieve nausea and energy levels and recommended by midwives.

We are a Monday-Sunday business. Hours from each day vary sometimes from week to week. Our most up to date hours are always listed on our contact page of our website though!
Different therapies vary, but in general no more than one IV therapy per week is recommended. But there are always exceptions. For example: A simple fluids drip up to 2 to 3 times a week for someone working outside in 115 degree heat might be warranted. Recommended typically 2-3 days apart.
We use the most active & bioavailable form - Methylcobalamin. This is cyanocobalamin (b12) but in a readily active form that is "methylated". Good for those that carry the MTHFR gene variation.
B12 is good for DNA production, red blood cell formation. It is used to treat deficiency, neuropathy, and, in some cases, chronic pain.
The max weekly dose of vitamin b12 that we offer is 1000 mcg.
It is generally recommended to do the virtual visit with the provider before the nurse comes out to you. This streamlines the entire process and eliminates waiting around once the nurse gets there. It is important to note the provider has 15 minutes to answer your call from the consult booking time. So if they do not immediately answer the call, please stay in the zoom chat until they answer.
